ABOUT ALTON DIXON

Alton Dixon is the Son of a former Pastor and Evangelist. Mr. Dixon accepted his call to the Ministry in 2001. He attended the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary,  where he pursued a Bachelor Degree in Christian Ministries.  During this time, he was chosen by the North American Mission Board as the only African-American to attend a six (6) week mission trip to the country of Romania.  While in Romania, he was blessed to minister to over 5,000 people. In 2005 he relocated to Dallas, Texas.  It is here where he served as the Youth Pastor and Pastor of Ministries at the Historic St. John Missionary Baptist Church for five years. He was an Associate Minister at Disciple Central Community Church of DeSoto, Texas for four years where he taught Singles, Youth and Leadership classes. In May of 2013, he started The H.O.T. (House of Transformation) Ministry; a Young Adult Ministry where people served in 3 different cities (Dallas, New Orleans and Charlotte) in their communities, encouraging, giving spiritual advice, and leading youth to their God given destinies. In 2014 he started working for the City of Lancaster as the Purchasing Manager. He has been Licensed and Certified as a Texas Purchaser by the State of Texas Comptroller’s Office.

In May 2015 he was elected Senior Pastor of the Faith Church in Lancaster, where outreach and youth head the list of priorities for that ministry. While with the city he graduated from Leadership North Texas in 2017, a graduate level leadership program aimed at recruiting, developing and supporting leaders who have a commitment to civic engagement, to learning, to collaboration and to the DFW region. He also serves as the Chaplain for the Lancaster Police Department and served on the 2020 Lancaster ISD Vision Committee and Lancaster ISD Task Force to reopen schools. He has won numerous awards and community service recognitions for his outreach. In the Fall of 2018 his ministry started Faith Feet which gave away 573 pairs of new shows to a low income community in the Dallas area for a back to school event.

Alton Dixon studied at Southern of New Orleans and UNT Dallas and is currently pursuing a Masters of Arts in Christian Education at Southwestern Theological Seminary.

Pastor Dixon is married to Mona Dixon and they have three children.
